Black File Snake Swallows Skink Lizard
Gruesome footage shows how a snake swallowed a lizard whole after catching it in a forest. The black file snake was heard struggling to eat the legless skink, head first in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa on May 7. Passer-by Rajen Ramnath stopped to investigate the noise and was shocked when he saw the grey snake swallowing the reptile. Rajen said: "I heard something rustling as I passed by it. I used my flashlight and saw that there is a snake trying to swallow another snake." The black file snake is also known as a dwarf file snake or the Nyassa file snake and preys on skinks and other lizards.
