Clever Octopus Steals Food from Fishermen

Buy video

We were enjoying nature and the outdoors while doing some fishing off of the seawall at our home in Key West, Florida.
When pulling up our pinfish trap to show our friends the live bait we were using for fishing we had noticed an unusual sight.
An octopus had found our live trap and was doing some fishing of its own.

The clever octopus had attached itself to the top of the trap and used his long tentacles as fishing lines. The octopus would extend his tentacles and swipe several fishes at a time and slowly reel them up.
We put the trap back in the water with the octopus still attached.
I thought it would be rude to interrupt his dinner!
