In a dramatic incident on May 23 in New Delhi, a woman threatened to jump from a five-storey building after being fired from her job.

The woman, a worker at a private consultancy firm in Gurugram sector 18 area, was persuaded to change her mind and not to take this extreme step.

The woman was traumatised after being fired from her work earlier that day, and went to the office roof of a multi-storey building and stood on the edge of the terrace. She then threatened to jump off the building.

The police immediately rushed to the spot after being informed, but the woman refused to budge. The woman can be seen standing on the edge of the building and threatening to jump off if the office management did not hire her as a permanent employee.

A man in a pink shirt can be seen trying to talk her off the ledge, and after some minutes the woman steps down from the edge.

According to police the women was working with Rajasthan based Infrastructure company corporate office, after her probation period was over, she discovered the company was not going to hire her as a permanent employee which led her to take this step
