Failed stage dive at heavy metal concert in Canada
An amusing video has emerged of a man failing to pull off a stage dive at a heavy metal gig in Edmonton, AB, Canada.
In the footage, captured at a concert by the American group ‘Down’ at Union Hall earlier this month, a dedicated fan can be seen crowd surfing towards the stage and being greeted by frontman Phil Anselmo.
To the fan’s delight, Anselmo waves off security and hoists the fan over his shoulders while continuing to perform a song.
Caught up in the experience, the fan then takes a running leap from the stage into the crowd but crashes into audience members in the front row and lands heavily on the ground.
Apparently undeterred by the painful fall, the committed fan picks himself up and later tries another stage dive which, fortunately, goes to plan.
