My water broke on camera: The labor and delivery of our miracle baby at 29 weeks pregnant

I was pregnant and expecting a baby boy in June despite having a unicornuate uterus and experiencing 7 prior losses. I went into preterm labor the week prior at 28 weeks, and was placed on procardia to help stop contractions. I won Teacher of the Year for my school in Magnolia ISD, and after attending the Teacher of the Year banquet, my water unexpectedly broke at home at 29 weeks pregnant. I was bleeding. I went in to the hospital and no one would contact my actual doctor so that he could preform my c-section, despite me having an extremely rare uterine abnormality and experiencing signs of a uterine or placental abruption. After a rough ultrasound, my placenta completely detached from my uterus, putting my baby boy's life in immediate danger. The hospital OBGYN had to put me under general anesthesia and perform my c-section while I was on lovenox (a blood thinner) to get my baby boy out as quickly as possible. We went in to the c-section without being able to detect his heart rate - no one knew if he was going to make it or not. Our miracle baby is now in NICU and doing well, and I ended up not hemorrhaging during surgery. My dramatic birth story, though traumatic, is a real miracle!
