Shanghai Bullet Train Depot has introduced robots to help with the train maintenance work on May 30.

The cool video shows two robots moving under the trains to help the railway workers to check and maintain them.

The robots are equipped with vision and image recognition technology, which can help inspect and solve the problems accurately and automatically.

According to reports, the robots increased the work efficiency 2.75 times more than human workers.

经过连续5年的科技攻关，动车组检测机器人日前在上海动车段上海虹桥动车运用所投用，标志着动车组检修作业迈出由“人检”向“机检”转变的重要一步。

上海局集团公司目前配属动车组近700标准组，日常检修作业量非常大。为进一步提升动车组检修效率、降低人工成本、持续探索修程修制改革，该局集团公司自2015年7月开始立项研制动车组车底检测机器人系统，探索“人机交替”检修作业新模式，用科技手段推动动车组检修提质增效。
据了解，该系统主要采用机器视觉、图像识别等技术，由检测机器人、中心服务器、手持移动终端、列位检测和信息管理平台等五大模块组成，可全自动检测所有型号动车组车底和转向架可视部件，具备数据无线传输、故障自动判断等功能，目前已形成动车一级检修作业能力。
上海动车段有关负责人告诉记者，由于机器人在车下作业不受接触网供电限制，他们及时对检修作业流程进行优化，一级检修作业缩短至110分钟，较传统的“人检”节省10分钟。
