On the 30th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, Hong Kong put on its annual commemoration of the event. Here the torch of democracy, symbolising the continued fight for labor rights, a free press, and individual freedoms, makes its way through the crowd of a predicted 150,000 people.
This year has been especially relevant to Hong Kong as the government tries to push through a legislative bill that would effectively allow Chinese authorities to extradite anyone in the territory that they have deemed as criminals under Chinese law.
