Obese Patient Rescue Takes 90 minutes To Remove from New York Home
FDNY and EMS responded to a call at East 71st street around 10am this morning, June 4th, for a sick tenant. Aided was reported to be obese and needed assistance to be removed from the apartment and in to an ambulance.
One neighbor who said she knew the victim, said "he had difficulty moving and was basically immobile".
It took approximately 90min to get the victim out and into an ambulance after the first report came in, he was loaded in . on the stretcher with CPR in progress.
Multiple FDNY trucks, EMS, Ambulances and Haz-Tac vehicle were on the scene.
