Rescuing 4x4's stuck in pans on the way to Kubu Island Botswana

Makgadikgadi pans are notorious for being driven in a rainy season. Kubu Island is a place where travellers go to camp. We (in the Red Landcruiser80) were asked by some tourists to go and help them, because they were stuck in mud. We followed white bakkie (2 locals were in the car that showed us the road). We drove 37 km in very wet road conditions and at some point the road turned into a “lake” - it was so much water! Eventually we arrived to the 2 vehicles that were stuck - They have been there for 24 hours. We started lifting vehicles with high lift jack, the bakkie brought a lot of rocks to put under the tyres, removed spare tyre underneath the vehicles. We used hi lift jack to lift every single tyre and put rocks under the tyres. After few hours of hard work they were eventually out of the mud and we drove out of the pans!
