This cobra had to be rescued after sleeping a pile of rubbish and getting trapped in an old ceiling light. The 5ft long venomous snake was seen curled up under a stairwell in a block of flats in Chachoengsao, central Thailand, on June 2. Rescue workers arrived and unearthed the serpent from under the trash. They then had to carefully free the snake after discovering it had slithered through a narrow hole in the metal casing of a long rectangular ceiling light. Footage shows how the dark black cobra was carefully removed and then set free into the wild.
