A man has been stabbed to death in Tower Hamlets, east London.

Video filmed on Saturday afternoon (June 15) shows the crime scene.

Officers from Tower Hamlets CID are investigating. The park through which Alton Street runs has been cordoned off.

Enquiries are underway to notify next of kin, Metropolitan Police said. The victim has not been named. A post mortem will be scheduled in due course.

There have been no arrests and officers are working to establish a motive.

A London Ambulance Service crew called the Metropolitan Police at 13.58hrs on Saturday, 15 June 2019 after responding to reports of an injured man at Alton Street, Poplar, Tower Hamlets, E14.

At the scene a man, aged in his thirties, was found to have suffered stab injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 14.37hrs.
