On Saturday, June 15, 2019, in front of Independence Hall, Indivisible Philadelphia, a chapter of Indivisible.org, hosted an event titled, "Defending Our Democracy: Readings from the Mueller Report." This event was attended by members of the United States Congress as well as members of the Pennsylvania State Assembly and activists alike. Voices Rising Philly performed a revamped version of the Freedom Singers popular and stirring song, "Aint Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me 'Round." The lyrics featured lines such as, "Ain't gonna let no Trump lies turn me 'round." Some of the most notable speakers included, U.S. Rep. Dwight Evans, member of the House Ways and Means Committee, U.S. Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, Vice Chair of the House Judiciary Committee and U.S. Rep. Madeleine, a member of the House Judiciary Committee.
