Truck crashes into electricity pole in Thailand causing power outage
CCTV captured the moment a truck smashed into a power line, leaving a Thai town without electricity for hours.
The vehicle lost control as it reached a bend in the road in Surat Thani province in southern Thailand.
It careered off the road, smashing into an electricity pole which then collapsed onto the vehicle, causing bright sparks as the power lines were brought down, cutting off electricity to the neighbourhood for several hours.
After the accident, driver Sonthaya Siew-Inheng, 38, was rushed to the hospital with injuries to his right hand and other parts of his body. No pedestrians were injured.
The incident happened in the morning of 18 June.
