This is the moment a female toll collector was left with a bloody nose after being manhandled and beaten up by a commuter who wanted to pass without paying the requisite tax.

The incident happened on June 21 at the Kherki Daula toll plaza in Gurugram, adjacent to India's capital city of Delhi.

Footages captured by two CCTV cameras -- one inside the toll booth and the other outside it -- show the woman seated on a chair, as the black vehicle of the commuter draws in. The camera located outside the booth shows the commuter having a heated exchange with a male employee at the toll booth.

A few seconds later, the commuter gets off his vehicle and walks up to the boom barrier. He gets into a confrontation with the female employee and even slaps on her face. When the female employee tries to defend herself, he punches her on the nose.

The video also shows her colleagues rush to her aid. Soon after, the commuter pushes away by another female employee. She is also seen tending to her bleeding colleague.

The commuter fled the spot soon after the incident. Police have reached the spot and have commenced preliminary investigation.
