Woman escapes unhurt after goods train passes over her in Western India
A video has emerged of a woman lying beneath a moving goods train and escaping unscathed in north western India.
The incredible incident was reported from Sikar district of Rajasthan state. It took place on June 16.
Visuals, recorded by other commuters, showed the 23-compartment goods train passing through the station as the woman lay still between the rails.
Reports said the woman, identified as Mali Devi, 55, had got down at the Jhilo station from a passenger train and was crossing the track when the goods train suddenly started moving.
Keeping her cool, she lay down. Once the train had left the place, she calmly got up.
The woman not only survived a potentially fatal accident but, was able to escape unscathed.
The woman was reportedly going to Jaipur city to shop for her daughter's wedding, which is scheduled to take place on June 24.
This was not the first time something like this happened.
A few days ago, a man slipped from the edge of the station and survived after being fragged by an express train in eastern India's Odisha state.
The man had deboarded the train at a station to buy tea and was late in getting back on time.
To cover up, he started to jog and slipped while trying to board it.
Fortunately, he too escaped unhurt.
