The black clouds that have spread over the ocean of the Indian Ocean, finally sent strong winds followed by rain in the Padang Coast region of West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, on Sunday morning, June 23 2019. The storm also caused high waves on Padang Beach, leaving residents to leave coastal area. Similar conditions have been going on since the past week. Padang Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) noted that wind speeds reached 30 kilometers per hour. This bad weather is predicted to continue in the next few days, especially in areas along the west coast, such as in the South Coast, Pariaman and West Pasaman. Residents were asked to be vigilant, because of the potential of fallen trees hit by the storm.
