A baby monkey is bottle fed milk by her rescuer after she was rescued from illegal capture and brought to the Tasikoki Wildlife Rescue Center in North Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The monkey, known as a Macaca nigra, was named One because she was the first animal saved by the center where she is taken care of and fed, such as in the video that was shot on June 25.

The endangered animal is hunted for meat, and are a protected species due to deforestation.

The baby monkey was rescued by officers from the animal rescue agency Tasikoki (Tasikoki Wildlife Rescue Center), which is in North Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Yaki, is a protected wildlife. These animals live endemic in North Sulawesi and live in primary forests. The population is endangered, due to forest degradation.

Sulawesi monkeys are also hunted for meat. Conservation activists are trying to save the Yaki population.

This cute baby girl was named 1ONE, because she was the first animal saved by Tasikoki in 2019.

1ONE has lost its parent. Every day the rescue worker at Tasikoki gives him milk, and takes care of him like his own child.

In Tasikoki there are a lot of protected wildlife rehabilitated. They were arrested from illegal trade. Yaki, including animals that are sold abroad.

This incident happened a few months ago. In Tasikoki, illegal animals continue to arrive. This shows a serious problem about the trade in wildlife.
