LA man accidentally kills Swallowtail butterfly after becoming friends
This was the shocking moment a man from Los Angeles garnered the friendship of a Swallowtail butterfly moments before accidentally killing it.
Footage filmed on June 22 shows a beautifully coloured and patterned butterfly land on the leg of an LA man who made sure to film the lovely insect.
Things turned sour when the butterfly changed positions and flew under the opposite foot as the man attempted to walk further forward.
The insect was subsequently flattened.
The filmer told Newsflare: "[I] saw a butterfly on the ground and decided to help it out.
"[I] was right in front of my house when this happened.
"I was just trying to have a good Saturday morning."
