The ‘Fire Paan’ or the flaming betel leaf is becoming quite popular among Indians as it is being lit up and put directly into the mouth of the customers which has drawn quite an attention of the youths.
Paan is a local mouth freshener - a mix of local herbs such as cloves, betel nuts and cardamom among other ingredients, which are wrapped in a betel leaf.
Footage captured captured at a market in New Delhi show the Paan (Betel Leaf) seller setting up the contents inside the betel leaf alight as he puts it into the mouth of a customer on July 9.
As soon as the woman takes it inside her mouth the flame puts off automatically while leaving her mouth fuming.
People can be seen lining up to have the taste of the unusual flaming mouth freshener everyday near the shop.
There are three shops lined up side by side and it has become one of the popular Paan choices apart from other flavours like Chocolate and Ice-Paan.
