Residents rescued five tourists trapped in an SUV before it sank into the flooded Li River in southern China.

The video, shot in Xingping town in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on July 13, shows a red SUV being submerged by the flooded Li River and nearby rescuers and the scenic spot staff rafting to save them.

Five people were pulled out of the SUV one-by-one and they were all saved right before the car was totally submerged by the flooded river.

According to local reports, the five tourists attempted to drive across the flooded road but their car was washed into the Li River.

The rescued tourists were all sent to hospital where they were deemed unharmed.

近日广西暴雨，桂林多地街道成河。7月13号早上10点50分左右，在阳朔县兴坪镇，一辆载有5人的越野车在行驶至该镇的榕潭码头时由于不熟悉路况，涉水时被洪水冲走，情况十分紧急。正在周边执勤的兴坪镇防汛救援队员和阳朔县漓江景区船员、筏工发现有人被困车内后，第一时间见驾驶竹筏靠近车辆，在越野车沉入洪水前的最后一分钟，将车内5人全部救起。其中有两位老人和一名十多岁的孩子，还尽力抢救出游客的财物和行李。事后，5名来自河南的游客被送医检查，身体均无大碍。
