A massive explosion at central China's Yima gasification plant sent a huge plume of smoke into the sky, killing two people today (July 19).

The video shows smoke rising into the sky forming a giant mushroom cloud over the city damaging nearby vehicles and windows in residential flats.

Police officers, firefighters, paramedics and workers from other relative departments have arrived on site. Injured people were sent to hospital for treatment.

According to reports, two people were killed, 18 suffered serious injuries and 12 are still missing. The rescue work is still ongoing.

据义马市党政门户网站消息，2019年7月19日17：45左右，河南省煤气(集团)有限责任公司义马气化厂C套空分装置发生爆炸着火事故，爆炸不涉及重大危险源罐区，生产装置均已停车。
通报指出，当地政府已启动应急预案，相关领导已经达到事发地，应急管理、公安、消防、卫生、环保、办事处、产业集聚区等部门已同时赶到事故现场。

自三门峡市应急管理局获悉：截至7月19日21时20分，河南省煤气（集团）有限责任公司义马气化厂爆炸事故已造成2人死亡，12人失联，重伤18人（目前生命体征平稳），现场救援正在紧张进行中。
