An off-duty police officer was taken to hospital after being involved in a hit and run accident in Los Angeles.

The deputy, whose white car was overturned in the crash, suffered unknown injuries.

The driver of the other car, described as a red pickup truck, has yet to be apprehended.

LACoFD responded to a rollover crash involving an off duty deputy. Arriving units located a white sedan rolled on it's roof. The off-duty deputy driving the vehicle was extricated and transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The vehicle that caused the collision was described as a red pickup with at least one occupant, a hispanic male adult. The suspect took off northbound on Pioneer Blvd and as of this time is still outstanding.
