Dramatic CCTV footage has emerged from China capturing the moment a father and son narrowly escaped death as a crane crashes down around them in Guangxi Province on Tuesday, 13 January.

According to local reports Mr Xiong and his son were playing outside his shop that afternoon when his wife happened to call them back in. Twenty seconds later a driving crane smashed into the sidewalk where they'd been - destroying five stores and injuring three people.

Mr Xiong and his son escaped unscathed after their miraculous move.

Those injured in the crash are reportedly stable in hospital with one having been discharged. Police are investigating the cause.
