This is the heartwarming moment a family is reunited at Guadalajara airport after their father was deported by US immigration officials.

Husband and father Israel Garcia, 41, says he was arrested on his way to work on June 10 last year after being pulled over in his car by two Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials (ICE) officers who accused him of speeding.

Footage captured on June 16 shows the family meeting their father in Guadalajara after a year apart.

Yarizet Garcia, the oldest of four siblings who filmed the video, told Newsflare: ''It’s been a year since my dad was incarcerated due to being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials: a year full of sadness, anger and confusion.''

''We’re not sure what the future holds but at this very moment we’re so grateful.''

''My father has been in the US all his life and we never thought this would have happened to us. My parents own a house in the US and both had a career here as well as myself.

''We have to start from scratch and build our own house in Jalisco, Mexico so we can come and go to see my dad. Hopefully, we will be together again in the future.''

The Trump administration has been heavily criticised for expanding its power to deport alleged undocumented immigrants, prompting critics to launch awareness campaigns of people's legal rights when being confronted by ICE officers.
