A talented man named Yang Xinquan carved impressive artwork out of food in southern China.

The incredible clips, shot in Chengdu city in Sichuan province on July 12, 17 and 15 respectively show Yang using pumpkins, radishes, watermelons and to taro to form a baby, fish, flowers and an old man.

The three pieces of artwork all have good meanings, which wish people wealthy and longevity.

Yang has learned to carve food for several years and now he is training others in a food carving school.

中国在食品上加以雕刻，历史悠久，大约在春秋时已有。食品雕刻的常用原料有两大类，一类是质地细密、坚实脆嫩、色泽纯正的根、茎、叶、瓜、果等蔬菜；另一类是既能食用，又能供观赏的熟食食品，如蛋类制品。但最为常用的还是前一类。
雕刻作品的使用是多方面的，它不仅是美化宴席，烘托气氛的造型艺术，而且在与菜肴的配合上更能表现出其独到之处。它能使一个精美的菜肴锦上添花，成为一个艺术佳品，又能和一些菜肴在寓意上达到和谐统一，令人赏心悦目，耐人寻味。

四川成都的阳信权小伙，目前是一家食品雕刻培训机构的老师，他经过多年的学习和磨炼，一件件栩栩如生，十分传神的作品出现在他的食品雕刻刀下。
