The protests began weeks ago, originally against an extradition bill with mainland China, now broadened to include demands for greater democracy and complaints about police inaction when triad-linked gangs attacked people in the Yuen Long area last week.

During a protest in the town of Yuen Long in the New Territories, Hong Kong, where many thousands of protesters took to the streets to protest against police inaction against alleged triad attacks the previous Sunday. This lady stood alone in front of police lines asking the police to shoot her. The lady in the blue vest who tried to speak to her is a Police Liaison Officer.
