A driver who allegedly had a few drinks before getting behind the wheel is seen crashing his car at speed into a parked vehicle in New York's Queens on July 12.

Home CCTV footage shows the driver hit the Suburu head-on moving it multiple metres away from where it was originally.

The driver gets out and doesn't appear to be seriously injured.

A small crowd gathered around him while he appears to leave the car under duress.

The filmer told Newsflare: "The driver confessed that he 'had a few' and that another driver caused him to swerve, but the footage does not show anyone else involved in the collision.

"I asked him how could he have been driving so fast in a neighborhood where children typically play on the sidewalk, and that he could have killed someone."

This video shows surveillance footage of another driver crashing into my parked car in front of my house and then attempting to take off.

It takes place in Queens, NY York. The video was recorded by a security camera located on the front of my home. The video included the driver of the mini-van (John) who can be seen exiting and reentering the vehicle after he slammed into my parked car, a 2008 Subaru Impreza. The first person in yellow shirt to enter the video other than the driver is my son, Alberth. The third person to enter the video, coming through the main door is myself. I heard the bang, looked through my window and noticed the driver going back into his car. After observing that he seemed to be trying to leave, I went and grabbed him through his open front window, pulling his hand off the stairing wheel, while reaching for and taking out the keys from the car. The next two persons, one in red shirt, is my other son, Charles; and the shirtless gentleman is was my Airbnb guest, who was heard saying, "the man trying to drive off." The fifth gentleman in white t-shirt is my neighbor from up the block, who witnessed the crash and came to investigate.
