Yorkshire Egg Custard Hunting
I’m Johnny Hartnell the wild swimming yorkshire man and I absolutely love Yorkshire Egg Custards so in the first day of the open season which is the 17th February I’m out in the hunt.
This year I had a tip off that the river bank at Burnsall was the place to be,
Armed with my swimming trunks and a special whistle I set of hunting.
Hours last until I eventually spotted a fresh one down it’s burrow.
Swooping In I managed to catch one.
The rest is history.
The technique for eating them has been passed down through generations of the Hartnell family.
