The port city of Labuan dumps their waste in the ocean only for it to return to their shores where children play.

Plastic waste piles up on this beach, Labuan beach, Banten province. many years have been left here. there is no effort from the government to clean it. the people are the same. for them this garbage has become part of them, not a bother.
    the majority of garbage here is plastic. they are from the city. everyone in the city of Labuan takes out the garbage at sea. but this garbage returns to the beach again. Labuan City is a port city for fishing boats.
   the sea here is very polluted. children are left to play on this polluted sea and beach. they play kites, catch small fish without fear of getting sick.
the women here are drying fish. This fish drying place is next to a pile of rubbish. they don't worry that the fish they dry will be polluted. These fish they clean using the same sea water ... no guilt. after drying the fish is ready to be sold to the market.
Even the shipbuilder doesn't have a problem working in this garbage. smell, dust, drinking water, eating, polluted environment there is nothing they worry about. life must go on. don't need to worry a lot ... they said
