This is the moment a crazed Canadian was arrested for alleged jet ski rage - charging at speedboats on a busy beach.

William Alexander Baker, 44, was handcuffed yesterday (31/07) after several complaints that he was riding recklessly around Na Jomtien beach in Pattaya, Thailand.

Police claim that he was often seen splashing water at tourists by cutting in front of boats and also clambering onto moored vessels.

Harbour officers who were patrolling yesterday (31/07) afternoon and found the man riding his jet ski aggressively at the Bali Hai pier and called for reinforcements.

Baker was chased through the bustling tourist beach while being followed by the officers. But he was eventually caught shortly after he dismounted the jet ski, attempting to escape on foot.

The man was seen yelling and kicking a policeman while being frogmarched away from the harbour. He was detained and interrogated by police.

Lieutenant Colonel Piyapong Ensarn, chief of the Pattaya tourist police, said that Bakeris not permitted to ride jet skis as his captain's license is now withdrawn.

He said: ''Initally, Baker arrested on suspicion of harassment in public. The officers will keep interrogating him since he wasn't being cooperative and did not answer questions about his dangerous actions.

''We will hand him over to Na Jomtien police for further investigation and for prosecution on charges.''
