Whaley Brige Evacuation
The village of Whaley Bridge in North Derbyshire was evacuated today following concerns that the nearby Toddbrook reservoir would breach after it sustained damaged during heavy rain. Residence were evacuated to the nearby village of Chapel-en-le-frith and tonight remain at a leisure centre in the village.
The environmental agency say that the incident poses a high risk to life.
