Flash flooding in the Indian city of Ajmer swept away a local resident and several vehicles on Thursday after heavy rains turned main roads into fast-flowing rivers.

This clip shows torrents of water carrying off a man, an auto-rickshaw and a bicycle.

According to local reports, the man was hauled from the water after floating about 100 metres downstream.

More than 250 people have died in monsoon floods across India in the past few weeks, with Assam and Bihar states in the north the worst hit.

On Thursday (1st August) there was heavy rain continuously for 4-5 hours in Ajmer city of Rajasthan, the rain was so heavy that roads of Ajmer city turned into river. Everything on road was seen flowing and being swept away by heavy flow of water. One such incident happened at Famous Dargah Chishti market area were a man was seen being swept away by heavy flow of water, Accorsing to Shahid Khan who was recording the heavy flow of water on road saw a man holding electric poll
But his hand got slipped and he swept away in water.
In the video, the man can be seen being swept away by the strong flow of water while some people try to save him. After flowing about 100 metre he was finally saved by a man
Along with man a rikshaw and cycle and other things were seen flown away by water flow
