Meghan Cremer, an avid horse rider, whose lifeless body was found on Women’s Day (9 August), a week after she was reported missing, was remembered by friends, family and loved ones outside the Athlone Magistrate’s Court.

A group of women, calling themselves SA Women Fight Back, held a protest outside the court to oppose the granting of bail to the three men who were arrested for being in possession of her vehicle.

Meghan lived in a house on the Vaderlandsche Rietvlei Stables property, where she indulged in her passion for horse riding.

Jeremy Sias, 27, Charles Daniels, 39, and Shiraaz Jaftha, 34 were arrested after being found in possession of Cremer's vehicle.

A murder charge was added after one of them allegedly pointed out to detectives where her body could be found, five days after she went missing.

Shiraaz Japtha will apply for bail on 11 September, the other two accused have abandoned their bid to be released on bail.
