The moment is captured on CCTV when an Akita dog in India thwarts a would-be thief trying to rob a home last Friday (August 16).

The bungling burglar climbed over the wall outside the house around 2 p.m. while the residents had left the country on holiday, but the large and loyal dog loomed to protect the property.

Reports indicate police arrested the thief.

In Majra Village of Ambala city on 16th August around 2:22 PM in afternoon one thief named Naveen climbed the boundry wall of house of Gurpal Majra with intention of doing theft at house as everyone in the house were out of country . Thief climbed the wall and was trying to enter the house , but soon a pet dog of Gurpal seeing him attacked on him and grounded him , the thief in video can be seen attacking dog from flowerpot , but the dog who is of American Akita Breed was smart and quick , dog saved him from attack and attacked the thief back . this time grounding him on bushes in corner of the lawn area in house .
