Indian man finds snake coiled on his bathroom ceiling fan
Ashok Sahu, a resident of Balakati in eastern India, went to his bathroom on the morning of August 19.
As he looked up casually, he found a snake staring back at him while hanging from the ceiling fan.
He ran out and called Snake Helpline, which sent a volunteer, Biranchi Acharjya, to the house. Biranchi rescued the non-venomous bronze back tree snake and released it in the wild later.
Snake Helpline founder Subhendu Mallik said: "Common Bronze back tree snakes are arboreal and live on trees. They are excellent climbers.”
“This snake had entered the house and was finding a way out. It possibly crawled up to the fan to reach for the skylight.” he added.
