According to the people, These worms live in bamboo stems and absorb the nutrients of bamboo. They are white and about 3cm long. Not all bamboos have worms. They only live in a few bamboo trees. The worms appear in August to November every year. People here will catch the worms and process them. These worms are processed into many dishes. The most special dish is eating raw bamboo worms.
According to the people to keep the most nutrients is to eat them alive. The worms will be mixed with a variety of vegetables and chili. They will be served with alcohol to reduce the fishiness.
