Reptiles lovers in Indonesia catch snakes gently so as not to hurt these scaly animals.

In the footage filmed in the Bukittinggi city on August 12, a man from the Bukittinggi Reptile Animals Community found a python under a roof stack.

When catched, over 1 meter long python tried to hide again into a pile of roofs.

The man then holds the python tail to pull out.

It can take up to 5 minutes for the man to hold the snake's head and then put it in a sack.

Waldi BW, a reptile lover, said their community was called to catch 3 pythons that roamed the ruins of the building.

There are still two larger pythons which are thought to be the parent pairs of pythons they will catch.

According to Waldi, captured pythons will be made pets by community members or released into their habitat.
