A grandmother in California surprised her granddaughter with her first-ever pet horse.

Deanna Eckenrode-Zamora made Kayla wear a blindfold as they drove up to their home on August 8 before pretending the surprise was a puppy.

"Once we got to the home and we got out of the car I took her blindfold off and she stared at an empty stall. Still had no clue what was going on. We were pretending it was a puppy and as we were calling for the puppy her sister came around the corner with her horse," Deanna told Newsflare.

I kept my granddaughter at her other grandma's house for a few days until the horse and stall arrived. Then we brought her home and surprised her with her first horse

My granddaughter Kayla stayed a few days at her other grandma's house so we could bring a stall and the horse home.

I blindfolded her once we were down the street from our house because her older sister was waiting on the side to surprise her.

Once we got to the home and we got out of the car I took her blindfold off and she stared at an empty stall.

Still had no clue what was going on. We were pretending it was a puppy and as we were calling for the puppy her sister came around the corner with her horse.
