Endangered sharks, dolphins and whales are regularly butchered at this Indonesian fish market.

Footage captured at the Tanjung Luar Fish Market in eastern Lombok shows two fishermen bringing in their latest catch: a dolphin which hangs limply from a stake.

Next, two more fishermen carry in a thresher shark, a species listed as "vulnerable to extinction" by the World Conservation Union.

Inside the market, the floor is covered with many species awaiting butchery, including bull sharks and hammerheads.

Just outside the market building, dozens of protected manta rays lie in the mud waiting to be sliced up and auctioned off.

According to the filmer, he also saw a pilot whale being prepared for sale.
