Wet weather hits north western Ireland, causing flooding and landslides.

Up to 70mm of rain fell between Friday and Saturday morning in some areas.

The worst-affected areas were Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo and Tyrone.

It led to flooding, road closures and landslides, including the one shown in this video, on Benwisken mountain in the Gleniff area of County Sligo.

Friday morning right through to Saturday morning see some parts of the northwest of Ireland flooded and waking up to landslides with between 50mm to 70mm of rainfall falling in a 24hr window. With very wet weather already over the last week it lead to the ground not been able to absorb any more water. Worst effect areas where Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo and Tyrone.

On Saturday morning a number of roads where closed due to flooding with the landslide which is showing in the video occurring on Benwisken mountain, Gleniff, Co, Sligo.

In Donegal there was also a bridge in the northwest of the county which was swapped away along with multiple landslides also in the county.

Many rivers also burst there banks on Friday night leading to flooding.
