Bull leaps into crowd in Spain seriously injuring 19 spectators before being shot
This is the terrifying moment a bull leaps into the crowd injuring one spectator during an event in Spain.
The beast jumped over two barriers and charged at locals during the bullfighting show in Vidreres on Sunday (September 1) night.
One woman was seen cowering on the benches just inches from the rampaging animal. Other locals screamed as they ran for their lives.
The bull then escaped into a nearby car park before it was shot by police.
Officials said that 19 people were injured by the bull, including two who were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The two most seriously injured people were taken to Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona.
Another two people were taken to Santa Caterina Hospital. Most of the injured were treated at the scene.
A regional government-run emergency response coordination centre said one of the spectators was 'critical'.
Vidreres Town Hall said in a statement that they ''regretted the incident that happened on Sunday in which a bull has left several people injured''.
They added: ''The police have launched an investigation We would like to transmit our solidarity and concern to the casualties, their relatives and friends, and wish them a speedy recovery.''
