A violent storm hit West Sumatra in Indonesia on Friday damaging at least 50 homes, according to eyewitnesses.

Strong winds and hail battered the Pauh Duo area of South Solok Regency for about one hour from 1630 local time.

Residents panicked as the storm hit but there were no reports of fatalities.

This rare natural phenomenon according to the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD)
West Sumatra, causing the roof of the residents of Beterbangam. At least 50 houses were moderately and severely damaged. There were no fatalities, but local residents panicked.

In the video seen, the weather began to darken and then came a wind that was blowing even harder to make the tree sway harder. Heavy rain then came accompanied by grains of ice. This is a rare natural phenomenon for residents.
