A man visiting Healesville Sanctuary in southern Australia managed to film the moment an owl flew directly into his head.

Luke Willington was recording as Millie the barking owl swooped over the heads of the crowd in front and clipped his head.

Willington told Newsflare: "Despite the slow-mo I literally I had no way of knowing it was coming straight for me. It was so fast. It didn’t hurt me. It swooped up softly grazing the top of my phone and my head."

This encounter was filmed on September 8.
