A video has emerged from South Kalimantan in Indonesia showing the treacherous conditions on the roads caused smog or haze.

A video filmed on Saturday in Banjarbaru showed drivers contending with extremely limited visibility.

Several separate forest fires in Indonesia are responsible for the haze which has also affected Malaysia and Singapore.

A video shows haze has covered the air of Banjarbaru in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. This condition has created dangerous situation for the drivers on the road. In video recorded by Rianda Chitta Ardianty B. Karingi, a Banjarbaru local, many drivers have to deal with limited visibility on the road. They even can't see if any vehicles that come from the reverse direction, such as the truck in the video.

The number of blazes in Indonesia's rainforests has jumped sharply, spreading smog across Southeast Asia and adding to concerns about the impact of increasing wildfire outbreaks worldwide on global warming.Illegal blazes to clear land for agricultural plantations have been raging on Sumatra and Kalimantan islands, with Indonesia deploying water-bombing helicopters and thousands of security forces to tackle them.

It is just the latest such outbreak worldwide -- huge blazes have torn through the Amazon in South America while bushfires are sweeping across eastern Australia in an unusually ferocious and early start to the wildfire season.
