A river diver in Georgia, USA, turned up some unusual discoveries when rummaging along a local riverbed, including two now-antique handguns, among other relics.

During a dive near Lawrenceville, on September 7, the diver discovered a pair of handguns that had evidently been lost or discarded in the river for many years, as well as old coins, a shredded photograph and a Hindu statue.

The filmer commented: "I went scuba diving in one of my local Georgia rivers. I found lots of old relics and weird stuff.

"I also found two guns that dated back to the 1940's. Police said I could keep them because they were too corroded to get any serial numbers off of them."
