For the second year running, it won first prize in the Brentford Dock In Bloom Awards this summer. It was opened by Mayor Tony Louki and much admired by Ruth Cadbury MP and assorted local dignitaries.
Older people carrying shopping along Dock Road from Morrisons would stop off at the Children's Garden and rest in one of the two welcoming chairs, lean across the table and admire the lovely sunflowers and other plants nurtured by the local youngsters.
