This is the heart-stopping moment a biker almost washed away after he ignored alert by others and decided to cross an inundated road in northern India.

The incident took place on Sept. 22 in Una district of Himachal Pradesh state.

Visuals showed water gushing through an inundated patch of village road as two people, one on foot and another on a motorcycle, prepare to cross it.

As the man on foot reached near the road, he backed out after seeing the water flow.

However, the motorist paid no heed even after being warned by people from the other side. The rider also ignored plea from the man on foot who let held on to his vehicle asking him to move back.

The man almost washed away and barely managed to survive as soon as he began accelerating his bike.

Fortunately, he latched on to tree branches and managed to save himself while his motorcycle was washed away by the speeding waters.

The man was later pulled out to safety by others who rushed to his help.

This is not the first time an untoward incident has taken place due to commuters' negligence.

While a few have been lucky to survive, others have perished.
