Australian rugby 'hooligan' angers locals by hurling a flag after teams World Cup victory in Japan
An Ausralian rugby hooligan is seen seen hurling a flag after watching him team in the World Cup in Japan.
The man, believed to be wearing a yellow and green Australia top, had been supporting the Wallabies when they beat rivals Fiji by 39 points to 21 in Osaka on Saturday (21/09) evening.
He was then seen stumbling down a busy road and hurling a flag like a javelin into a car park.
The behaviour of some supporters has shocked locals in Japan, which is the first country in Asia to ever host the event.
Criticing the Australian supporter, one Japanese man branded him an ''animal''.
They wrote online: ''I'm angry with those animals, foreigners who act like that should leave japan.''
Another local added: ''It's sad when foreign tourists don’t respect the culture and etiquette of the country they’re visiting.''
The World Cup has been a hit in the country and introduced new fans to the support, despite the brutish behaviour of some supporters.
Japan has one of the lowest rates of crime in the world and is known for its polite and overly-organised culture - a sharp contrast with some rowdy rugby
