Young Indian man catches fire after stepping on live wire
A young Indian man captured on CCTV going up in flames after stepping on a live wire in Navi Mumbai on September 20.
The incident happened when a 20-year-old named Shubham Sony accidentally stepped on a wire lying in the open.
As a result, the boy caught fire and suffered several critical injuries.
The third-year student of management studies was on his way to class when he stepped on the cables causing a minor blast to take place resulting in Sony catching fire.
Sony is seen running backwards, throwing his backpack away.
After catching fire he ran towards a water drum frantically pouring water on himself in a bid to douse the flames.
According to doctors he has suffered 25% burns injuries and will take around a month to recover.
