The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
Over 150 motorbike riders took part in a bike ride from Hayle, Cornwall today to raise money for prostate cancer research and men's mental health. Smartly dressed and sporting tweeds, cravats and period clothing, the distinguished gentlemen (and ladies) rode a stylish range of old and new bikes, visiting Hayle, St Ives and ending with a parade on Penzance promenade.
They have raised over £7000 from the afternoon's activity. On the same day in the UK over 6,000 riders took part in similar outings, collectively raising over £1.42m last year
A global phenomenon, which started in Australia, the DGR raised over $6m worldwide last year.
